ADMISSION INFORMATION

FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS

Eighty-one percent of our undergraduates receive some form of financial aid, and UA offers $32 million in scholarships and awards each year, including full-ride academic scholarships.

As an applicant, you'll automatically be considered for the Akron Guarantee Scholarship, which increases as you earn credits. And non-Ohio residents who qualify can earn the $3000 Akron Advantage Award.

ADMISSIONS: HOW TO APPLY

Once the application opens on August 1, you can apply to UA using our application or the Common Application. In the meantime, gather the materials you'll need to include: 

  • Be ready to ask your high school counselor to send UA your official high school transcripts.
  • If you take the SAT or ACT, mark that you want your scores sent to UA (or make sure your scores are noted on your transcript). Reach out to an admissions counselor regarding any testing updates due to COVID-19.
  • No essay is required.
