Program Objectives & Overview

The business administration program offers a well-rounded education for those seeking an entry level position in the business field. Technical courses provide an excellent core business foundation while the General Education classes reinforce knowledge needed to achieve success. The intent of this program is to provide the graduate with a strong background in management, business law, accounting, leadership development, and computer applications. Business administration majors participate in an externship during their final quarters of study. This experience provides an opportunity to gain valuable field experience.

A concentration in Marketing and Tourism provides the education necessary to contribute effectively in marketing, tourism, and hospitality fields. Marketing tools, event planning and promotion will be explored through developing budgets, and planning and promoting meeting and events. Essential customer service and social media skills will be developed through pertinent coursework. 

Graduates from the Business Administration program with this concentration will be qualified for positions in marketing, hospitality and tourism including but not limited to: waterparks, hotels, theme parks and restaurants. Additional opportunities can be found in any business industry requiring customer service, event planning, and marketing skills.

CLASS SCHEDULE  

DAY: A typical full time business student attending day classes will have 3 classes per week. Lecture classes are 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, and Lab classes (if required) are 8:30 am – 1:30 pm. Once enrolled, your schedule will be personalized to fit your needs.

EVENING: A typical full time business students attending evening classes will have 3 sessions per week. Lecture classes are 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and Lab classes (if required) are 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm. Once enrolled, your schedule will be personalized to fit your needs.
